Food labels do much more than provide product information. They protect your brand, help consumers make informed choices and often shape how your product is perceived on the shelf. Whether applied to a glass jar, plastic pack, bottle, tin or paper packaging, the label needs to suit the conditions your product will encounter and meet high standards of quality, food safety and sustainability.

Nordvalls produces self-adhesive food labels for the entire food industry, from small producers and farm shops to major brands and food manufacturers. Our labels are used on dairy products, charcuterie, ready meals, bakery products, frozen foods, tinned foods, sauces, spices, oils, confectionery and deli products.

Food labels that withstand the conditions

Different foods place different demands on a label. Labels for chilled products need to withstand condensation and moisture, while labels for frozen foods must maintain their adhesion and print quality through freezing and thawing. For products exposed to oil, grease or frequent handling, we select materials and adhesives suited to the application.

Multicolour labels

Self-adhesive multicolour labels are widely used in the food industry and are suitable for glass jars, plastic packaging, bottles, tins and cartons. We offer materials and finishes suited to cold conditions, moisture, grease and frequent handling.

Linerless

Linerless labels are suitable for ready meals, charcuterie, meat, fish and dairy products. Supplied without backing paper, they are tailored to the packaging and can be used as top labels or wrap-around labels.

Sachets

Sachets, also known as portion packs or foil pouches, are used in the food industry as single-use packaging for products such as dip mixes, spices, marinades and sauce powders. We provide complete solutions with materials and print tailored to deliver high quality, sustainability and a distinctive brand identity.

Nordvalls is FSSC 22000 certified

We are proud that all our production sites in Sweden are certified to FSSC 22000, an internationally recognised food safety certification scheme covering food and food packaging. This certification demonstrates our systematic approach to quality, safety, traceability and continual improvement throughout production.

FSSC 22000 is an ISO-based certification scheme for food safety management systems across the food supply chain and is recognised by GFSI (the Global Food Safety Initiative). It includes requirements for risk management, hygiene procedures, process control, documentation and the management of non-conformities. This makes it particularly relevant to the production of labels for the food industry and other packaging solutions where product safety is essential.
